Conflict Materials

Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act requires certain companies to disclose and, where appropriate, to submit a report on the conflict minerals used. This disclosure requirement applies to all companies that are required to report under Sections 13 (a) and 15 (d) of the Securities Exchange Act.

Deublin respects the Dodd-Frank Act section 1502 - Conflict Minerals and is endeavoring to involve its suppliers in all statutory regulations.

We declare that to the best of our knowledge and belief, Deublin products do not contain conflict minerals, but a precise statement of the origin of the raw materials cannot be given.

RoHS Directive

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive provides rules on the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), as defined Article 3, paragraphs 1 and 2, and Annex I. The Deublin rotating union is a purely mechanical device and does not apply to the RoHS EU Directive.

The legislation requires neither certificates nor declarations, reports or markings. The principle of presumption of conformity is valid.

REACH Regulation

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of CHemicals) is a European Union regulation, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals. It also promotes alternative methods for the hazard assessment of substances in order to reduce the number of tests on animals. Deublin is a downstream user as defined by the REACH regulation. Deublin is not a producer or a trader for chemical substances.

Machinery Directive

Directive 2006/42/EC is a European Union directive concerning machinery and certain parts of machinery, intended to ensure a uniform level of protection and accident prevention for machines and incomplete machines. Deublin Rotary Unions by themselves do not qualify under the directive as a functional machine or incomplete machine. However, they do comply with the essential requirements for safety and health as stipulated in the Directive.
