Key Account Manager - Machine Tool
We are seeking a Key Account Manager – Machine Tool (KAM MT) to lead all activities for strategic customers to ensure long-term sales growth in the North American Machine Tool and related markets. The KAM MT is expected to maintain a thorough and current knowledge of the customers, including their product and solution needs, primary initiatives, and strategic contacts, as well as a complete and current knowledge of industry trends and opportunities. The KAM MT consistently delivers annual sales and margin goals in the assigned markets and gains buy-in from internal stakeholders across multiple departments. This position reports to the North American Sales Manager and the pay range is $102,351 - $153,527 annually. Pay will be based on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Key Account Management
- Develop and lead North American strategy for growing share and impact with assigned key accounts. Deliver sales and margin targets – grow share and create value for Deublin at each account.
- Analyze customers’ decision-making processes, organizational structures, and succession planning.
- Foster a partnership approach with key accounts in accountability, initiative, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor the position of key accounts in their respective markets, assess competitive threats through quantifiable comparisons of Deublin's products and competitors' products.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to review business performance and supplier status.
- Negotiate multi-year agreements and project-specific contracts aligned with company goals across regions.
- Design and implement pricing strategies, including contract negotiations and price adjustments.
- Evaluate customer satisfaction and drive initiatives to maintain best in market supplier status.
- Identify strategic opportunities by geography and customer segment to maximize impact.
- Collaborate with customers to uncover and quantify product development opportunities and drive PQT process.
- Analyze key account aftermarket activities and develop a strategy to maximize aftermarket margins.
Coordination Efforts
- Drive cross-functional alignment and ensure execution of strategic action plans.
- Apply Deublin Performance System along with lean tools and problem solving to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Sales and Market teams to translate customer insights into long-term growth strategies.
- Coordinate with Engineering to address technical issues and support product enhancement.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, both in-person and remote.

- Technical: Engineering, mechanical or electrical background preferred. Ability to understand how components integrate into larger systems is expected. Willingness to learn engineering related topics is required.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from 4-year College or University in engineering, business, or comparable discipline is required; MBA is preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years progressive sales or marketing experience is required. Direct experience working in the relevant industries is expected. Experience managing projects is strongly preferred.
Location and Travel:
- This position is remote with acceptable positions in the Midwest, Southeast or Northeast territories.
- Travel demand of 25%+ or as required, domestic and international.
